Here is a view of Burney Falls through the trees from the trail above. This was a main destination on this Northern California journey . I had read of how incredible it was. It did not disappoint.
Burney Falls was once called "the Eighth Wonder of the World" by President Theodore Roosevelt. This National Natural Landmark stands at 129 feet tall and pours out millions of gallons of water per day. It's hard to tell how wide it is since water springs out from underground wells along the outer walls.
