It was not your typical day at Centennial Gardens in Greensboro on that day. The Greensboro Beautiful organization had turned this public area into a walk in Paris, with local artists, great food, entertainment, and lots of kids activities.
This cute little redheaded tot stood cautiously close to mom as the clown just feet away was making balloon animals for other children. His trepidation showing on his face. He watched, and watched...looking at the clown, looking back at mom. But there he stayed, right next to mom, squeezing tight his own balloon.
This candid moment was originally captured on camera, and this painting was based off of several different images. Boy With A Balloon represents that little bit of innocence in all of us.
