Painting - Mixed Media Painting
This colorful flower bouquet still life is an original acrylic mixed media painting that incorporates various patterns of art papers and impasto palette knife painting to develop a lot of texture in the background and flower blooms. These blooms are based on many large blooms I've seen, but no particular flower. I wanted an arrangement that had a tropical influence so I brought in various bright oranges and reds along with the white and bright blue-purple blooms. The filler includes various shapes of greenery and baby's breath. No bouquet is complete in my mind without a few daisy-like flowers. The red at the base could be a container or a tabletop with the vase covered by all the blooms and ivy. This painting will give you fresh flowers all year long and they will never wilt or die.
This image would also make a nice cover for a greeting card for special occasions, such as Mother's Day, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and more. The inside of the card can be customized up to 500 characters, too.
I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains. I've even had a couple abstracts made into my personal cell phone covers. Please check out my Facebook page Doodleng Art by Sharon Eng for announcements and more information about my art. This image would be a good selection for business or corporate wall art and decor or in any home.
