Description
Northern Colorado's wide open spaces are inviting in many ways. For example, Lory State Park has plenty of places to hike and ride bicycles. The park is just west of Horsetooth Reservoir near the city of Ft. Collins.
Formerly ranchland, Lory State Park was purchased in 1967 and named in honor of Dr. Charles A. Lory, president of Colorado State University from 1909 thru 1940.
The park contains Arthur's Rock, a jutting granite formation named for an early settler in the area.
Some digital effects were applied to the original image after the photograph was made. No electrons were harmed during the transition. Ordered images will not contain the Fine Art America watermark.
