Description
I was charmed when I saw these two small girls along the road, outside the large school complex. The way they were leaning in, working together to gather flowers, maybe whispering secrets as best friends would do.
I was traveling via Google Street View in the tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan, high up in the mountains. At times, I looked DOWN on the clouds! Each month my art group, Virtual Paintout, goes somewhere new on earth, virtually, to paint a scene of our own choosing. I love participating, and discovering the most amazing places and people.
Sometimes the place stops you, and wants to tell it's story. I try to listen, and then paint it.
This image, from my original acrylic painting "Bhutan Best Friends",
is part of my series painted with the Virtual Paintout online group. We travel worldwide each month to a new location, via Google Street View, each choosing to paint that which captures our hearts and imaginations.
