Description
Beaver Pond or should I say Ponds because technically there are two of them. They are connected to the Witch Hold Pond by small streams. The area is flourishing with life. There are beavers to be sure, but there are frogs, turtles and the occasional Grey Heron there as well. The waterlilies are overflowing with abundance. I love stopping here while biking around the Paradise Hill overlook. For years I have wanted to process this photograph in black and white. The contrast between decay and life is very powerful here. Life and growth will always find a way to move forward.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
