In the past I haven't really spent much time in Truckee. When I'm up in Tahoe I usually spend my time in South Lake. That is probably going to change.
Spent an afternoon walking around and exploring Truckee California and really decided that I would be back.
Truckee is a small town in the Sierras, not far from the Nevada state line. It very much reminds of the small town I grew up in Northern Michigan. It's a charming little town with a commercial district that spans about 4 blocks. There are many small shops and restaurants. Then there is the Bar of America.
The Bar of America has a long and storied history that I wont go into hear but let me say this. If you are ever in the Truckee area you would do well to stop in for a drink or a bite to eat.
