Description
This is a watercolor portrait of Kallen, the newest grandchild of loving and proud grandparents, Pat and Geoff, who have commissioned me to paint a portrait of each of their four beautiful grandchildren over the years when they were about the same age - just beginning toddlers. Photos of the children were taken by the family who chose their favorite shot for me to use as reference. Using the photo as reference for details, I painted this baby portrait the same size as the other three portraits with a similar background and lighting as the others so that they could be hung in a grouping.
This is a hand-painted portrait on Arches 300 lb. watercolor paper (11" x 15") done by using a client-supplied photo as reference as if the child were sitting in my studio. I would love to paint a portrait of your child from photo reference in pencil, watercolor or oil on canvas.
