I saw a video showing how devastating it is for the african elephants whose families are torn apart when hunters kill the parents for their ivory... it was piercing to watch and difficult to hear.
This piece is a tribute to the gentle giants that will likely become extinct in the next 20 years if they continue to be hunted as they are today.
This is a mixed media painting on wood panel using acrylic, mica, gold leaf, and ink.
