An amazing capture! When I was a little girl, we had a blackberry patch on the farm and my grandmother got bitten by a copperhead. This was about 50 years ago. It got her as she was reaching down to move the leaves aside to check for more berries. It struck her at the junction of her hand where the index and middle finger space is. Back then there was not a lot they could do, because of the location of the bite. Mom grabbed a belt, used it as tourniquet, and took her to the hospital. So for days afterward, we had to let the venom work it's way through her system. 5 minutes out of every hour the tourniquet came off. She was a very sick woman, her arm swelled up badly and turned black. But she made it.

Thanks, and wow, that had to be terrifying! Thankfully the outcome was a good one!
