Description
A mockingbird perches on the branch of an orange tree, feathers soaking wet from a typical Summer storm. At the top, feathers fluffed up, in order to dry by catching the afternoon sea breeze coming off of the Gulf of Mexico.
Taken in my garden located in Hudson, Florida.

You know how much I love your black backgrounds and drama...but this ruffled-up mockingbird made me to take a closer look.. and here we have it...as you engage the viewer in another story..of resilience and vulnerability of nature's forces..so you not only capture visually stunning and interesting object but also conveying a powerful narrative through your lens...masterfully done, Stuart :) fav

Fabulous capture of this guy ... love the title ... it tells us so much, as do the rumpled feathers and the glare in that eye and that not-happy-about-this frown!!! But other than that, looks like he made it through just fine, bless him!!! Great, great photographic artwork again, Stuart!!! l/f
