This is my original oil painting of Santa Clause. A White House Santa. I live in White House Tn. Not too far from Santa Claus Indiana. With the twinkle in his eye you can see he's filled with joy and love. Ready to give out the toys from his pack that's flung on his back. Why you can see that he's been climbing down chimneys and battling the snow with the button he's about to loose, it's just hanging in there!
Oils are so fun and exciting to paint with there's a rich quality in how it adds a whole other dimension to me making the scenes just come to life and jump out of the page. I used some Color pencil, Watercolor, but this is mostly Oils. The details I get just look more real.
Father Christmas is a favorite of mine I will be doing more. Christmas being my favorite time of year. I hope to do a lot more winter scenes and Holiday Traditions with even more Old world Santa's like this. He's a Jolly old elf with a button nose. A Magical Kris Kringle with a load of presents to be delivered and gifted to good boys and girls.
He will make a great decoration on gifts and greeting cards. It's a bright cheery Santa you can use on all kind of products to collect for decor.
