Sand Wash Basin, Colorado, is home to one of the few remaining herds of free-roaming wild mustangs in the United States.

Welcome fellow travelers. Though originally from Illinois, Colorado has been home since 1959. Since, as a boy, I snapped my first photo, I have been captivated by the symphony of beauty, and intricate design which surrounds us. God is the composer, and this humble musician, my camera is my instrument, strives to do justice to His composition. Sadly these amazing animals are being removed from BLM lands in Colorado in September of 2021 for, "their own good", and the enrichment of the livestock interests, marking the end of an era.
