Title
The Screaming
Artist
Neil Trapp
Medium
Digital Art - Digital Art
Description
Three art works are conjoined to form a new art work. Phan Thi Kim Phuc screams as she runs from the stinging napalm a detail from the painting by Neil Trapp and the camera of Nick Ut. Munch screams as he has done for many years. First worked in 1893 and last in 1910. The signs of craziness remain unsure for Munch, his older sister died when he was 13 years and some claim it is from viewing a Peruivan mummy at the World Fair in Paris in 1889. Originally painted for the series,"Frieze of Life," but in reality it was painted for the ego of Munch.Still, the art work now presented is a realistic interpretation of the need for females to scream to meet the goals of the feminist movement. This however takes nothing away from the pain and suffering of Phan Thi Kim Phuc or the horrors of war.
