Pen & ink wash drawing of the 1917 King motorcar, model EE, The King Motor Car Co. Detroit, Michigan and Buffalo, NY, 1911-1924 (1923-24 in Buffalo, NY), Charles B. King built his first American Automobile with a 4 cylinder engine in 1896 and it became the first gasoline automobile to be successfully driven on the streets of Detroit, Michigan. However Brady sold the design of the engine to The Buffalo Gasoline Engine Co. and the automobile he built to Byron J. Carter of Cartercar. Over the next few tears Brady designed engines for Northern and made gears, wheels and other auto parts for Detroit pioneers, including Henry Ford.
