Evening sky in County Tipperary in Ireland. A crescent moon is low in the sky just a few hours before comet Neowise comes closest to earth (23 Jul 2020) at just 64 million miles away. This will be the last visible signs of Neowise for 6,800 years as it moves off into outer space. As the comet is now further from the sun its brightness and intensity is greatly reduced.
