Description
Ferdinand IV of Bourbon wanted to establish a hunting reserve in the area of Fusaro, almost completely uninhabited until that time, and commissioned Carlo Vanvitelli (son of Luigi, the architect who designed the Royal Palace of Caserta) to design a royal lodge for hunting and fishing. The building, a small octagonal jewel constructed in 1770, seems to emerge form Lake Fusaro like a nymph.
