Today I unexpectedly made this wonderful little painting.
I feel I am surrounded by kind, positive spiritual beings. I feel that I am not alone. Angels are there for me, and are gifted with many abilities, and I am supported by their love for me. My talents and health are strengthened with their help and encouragement.

Congratulations, your creative and unique art work is featured in the "Out Of The Ordinary 1 A Day" group! 9/18/16 Lyric Lucas - was posted lately while I was out of town.
Picture a moody day with intermittent storms crossing Lake Superior. This is a time of the year when the weather is changing to freezing temperatures, the wind is blowing, and the trees and rocks hunker down. Low clouds push across the sky and drop their load of slush. My references were from a warmer day along the Minnesota shore line side, while this windy stormy day was pure artistic creation.
The original is for sale and various size prints are available on FAA.

Congratulations, Kathy, your creative and unique art work is FEATURED in the "Out Of The Ordinary 1 A Day" group! 11/7/16 - Lyric Lucas
This Minnesota team of dancers are putting on the Glitz! Note the action of each of these youth dancers described visually in watercolor and gouache. The color contrast of blues against warm oranges really puts these girls on display in the spotlight and the reflections echo this activity. Even some gold fleck as added for sparkle! My figures were abstracted so they could be presented very simply with shadow planes.

Hope you enjoy this floral display of pansies. It is set off beautifully in the sunshine, radiating color with prisms of light originating from the crystal vase. Dark shadows allow for tender, fragile, yellow petals to be back lit. A layer of pastel watercolor, adding luminous glowing color to the petals is especially noticed in the shadows. This image warms my heart and making me happy!
Thank you, Lyric, for the feature, 11/10/2016 So nice and special to me!

Waveland Beach is an abstract image created from a photograph of a beach near Waveland, MS at sunset.
Local residents and visitors will understand the pun intended by the title.
The city of Waveland was the area along the Mississippi Gulf Coast that was ground zero when Hurricane Katrina hit the US coast on August 29, 2005. Almost the entire town was destroyed by both wind and water.

Behold this colorful light show dancing in the night sky in the northern regions of the earth. When wonderful activity happens with forces that control magnetism and radiation, we may see a display of the glorious colors of the Aurora Borealis.

This artwork was painted in a very classical style, with twenty layers of glazing, as the old masters used to do. If I had to dedicated this artwork to anyone, I would dedicate it to Titian, who advised his students to paint with at least 30 layers of glaze.
This was commissioned by a Hindhu art collector. This painting is very classical in the Hindhu tradition.

This glorious scene of bold fancy lilypads really do catch your attention. The large blossoms are surrounded by a tangle of leaves and reeds with wonderful color exploding everywhere. My use of watercolor crayons adds a linear value to the design.
