This is a very interesting view, looking under this huge pier like this but also check out the "Halo" in some on my other images taken on this same day. I found myself running between Huntington Beach Pier and Newport Pier to catch the sunset in both places. You see, I had driven across America on a photo tour to get here, from Georgia, as I was headed west to Oahu, Hawaii. I stopped in many photography locations like this one along the way. What awesome and wonderful photography God gave me along my week-long trip to California. I shipped my Chevy Avalanche truck from LA to Oahu, one afternoon and flew out on a plane the next morning for Hawaii. Enjoy!
The Newport Pier is one of two municipal piers located within the city of Newport Beach, California, at the center of the Balboa Peninsula. It is 1,032 feet (314.6 m) long. The pier replaced the McFadden Wharf (1888-1939) and the site is registered as California Historical Landmark number 794.
