Description
People still talk about the stranger who used to come down to the jetty at night every year for over 30 years. Someone realised that it was always on the same night, the 13th of March
He never spoke to anyone, no-one knew who he was or where he came from, he just used to arrive and walk out on the jetty and stand there looking out at the lake.He would remain there in all weathers for an hour or more, even though he was obviously getting on in years, and then he would turn around and walk away into the night.
There were rumours of course, there always are, something about a girl who drowned a long time ago.
Something must have happened to him because he's missed the last two years.
