YELLOW SUNFLOWER
Everyone knows sunflowers are yellow, but that isn’t true - Not All Sunflowers Are Yellow - there are also red and purple sunflowers!
Regular sunflowers reach 12 to 16 feet tall and even higher in special circumstances but the garden variety, the dwarf sunflowers, tend to not grow taller than 3 feet.
The head of the sunflower is a combination of a thousand tiny flowers. In fact, each petal on the circumference of a sunflower is a flower itself. These long, colorful petals are known as “ray florets.”
