After a monsoon rain storm, I climbed to the top of a hill to get a better look at flooding in the Vekol Wash. First thing I saw was this great big grin in the sky. The desert sky was smiling! The desert is always happy to receive rain - that’s what Cloud Kachina is all about. I’m so glad I got to catch nature’s enthusiasm in this way! Location: northwest Pinal County in the Sonoran Desert about 50 miles south of Phoenix, Arizona.
