A Mexican Wolf, also known as Lobo or Mexican Gray Wolf is a subspecies of the Gray Wolf. Mexican Wolves are high endangered, having been almost completely wiped out during the mid 1900s. In 1998, protected in captivity and bred, wolves of this species were introduced in protected areas. This one along with a few others is in protective custody at the Sonoran Desert Museum.
