Despite having such a strong interest in art when I was young, I did not pursue a career in art seriously until the age of 28; when I was given the opportunity to display acrylic paintings, painted furniture, & oil paintings for sale; in what was my then husband’s family business on Cape Cod.   With this new found opportunity, oil painting quickly became my favorite medium… I decided to pursue art professionally, when I had some success with the items I had sold… however; I felt that the market I was interested in dealt with oil paintings.   I was able to find & take oil painting classes at the Cape Cod...more
