Description
I have always believed it is necessary to master a subject in black and white before attempting color. As I have painted the New York City skyline more than five hundred times in my series I feel I know it well enough to move the series into color. So many times I have studied the skyline and watched the sky from dawn to dusk, season to season. Those memories will supply the inspiration for the next phase of my work. I'm looking forward to this color series with excitement and I feel it shows in these first few paintings.
