Description
Situated on the North West Side of Edinburgh is a former village called Cramond. The mouth of the River Almond enters the Firth of Forth and there is also Cramond Island which is reachable when the tide is out.
Cramond has history which dates back to the Mesolithic, Bronze age and a Roman settlement can be found on the grounds of Cramond Kirk.
Not to far up the road is the 19th Century modern castle and grounds of Lauriston Castle. The grounds of the castle have some great nature sights and scenes and in the Autumn the trees are full of Autumn colours.
This image and the others in my Cramond Edinburgh collection are of my favourite sights and scenes that can be found here.
Great place to visit and explore.
