We left the Myrtle Beach area this morning a little earlier than we had planned ahead of the hurricane. The winds had started picking up late yesterday afternoon. We had been monitoring the weather all week. We did manage to condense an entire week into 3 non-stop days and evenings.
Here is one of my favorite images from the shortened week. A hurricane is coming as seen from the face of this Yellow Crowned Night Heron. This guy was up in a tree directly over my head. He did not look pleased.
