Description
A white star emerges from the center of this young cactus's yellow flower Sticky hairlike thorns protect the flower from predators who would eat this delicate flower. Insects come and land on the beautiful flower, cross pollenating from flower to flower, until it fades and dies. Sadly, the life cycle of this beautiful flower, is short lived...perhaps two days at the longest. Yet, for several days, there is such tender beauty on a very unfriendly host!
