Beach Sunset Palm Trees

My inspiration for this amazing scene is a combination of tropical island sky & the coastal California Ventura promenade. The walking path along the sea is lined with fan palms.

Devils Bay The Baths



Watercolor painting of a secluded cove on Virgin Gorda Island, BVI. A short hike from The Baths to Devils Bay you will come upon this idyllic scene.

Arriving on a white sandy beach from a shaded tunnel of sea grape trees, you are met with an amazing bay of beautiful gray boulders & clear turquoise Caribbean sea.

The warm shallow ocean water invites us to swim, snorkel or sit & enjoy the view.

Waterfall Sunny Day

Clouds Above and Below

Vineyard and Rolling Hills



This watercolor painting shows vineyard rows & the rolling hills landscape of California. Fall colors are accented by a crisp blue sky with white clouds.

Winemakers harvest the grapes at their perfect stage of sweetness.

In summer the fruit ripens from small, green, hard berries into juicy grapes with hues of translucent gold for white wines & purple-ruby tones for red varieties.

In autumn the green leaves turn beautiful colors of yellow, orange & red before they fall & the vine is barren for winter.

Mount Pilatus Swiss Alps Red Train



This watercolor painting captures the scenic Swiss alpine landscape with a little red train descending a very steep cliff toward a tunnel.

Mt. Pilatus is a mountain range overlooking Lucerne in Central Switzerland. The name “Pilatus” means “cloud-topped” as it reaches high in the sky.

The cogwheel train from Alpnachstad to the Pilatus Kulm peak is an unforgettable ride on one of the steepest railways in the world.

The little red train climbs up & down the mountain revealing expansive vistas of alpine meadows, snow-topped mountain ranges & amazing rock walls with mountain goats.

I was commissioned to paint this scene from travel pictures to commemorate an epic vacation. What an amazing experience!

City Grocery Oxford Mississippi 2



This watercolor painting captures the iconic City Grocery building in Oxford Mississippi town square.

Originally a livery stable, the red brick architecture with blue & white painted trim is now a restaurant bar named "City Grocery".

Downtown Oxford is called “The Little Easy” because it resembles New Orleans with ornate balconies, deep history & southern charm.

I was commissioned to paint this 2nd rendition for a client who loved my 1st rendition available in prints & wanted to buy an original painting. Both renditions are now available in prints.

Brown Tabby with White Chest



This watercolor painting captures a cute tabby cat enjoying a warm sunny spot while lying on a blue blanket.

The kitty has gorgeous blue-green eyes, a white tuxedo chest & little white paws.

Tabby cats have a variety of coat markings of tiger stripes (mackerel), whirls, or spots. Their fur can be gray, orange, brown, or a mix.

The ONE thing tabbies have in common: the M-shaped mark on their forehead.

What a beauty! It was my pleasure to be commissioned to paint this beloved family member.

Swimming with the Fish



This watercolor painting captures two young little boys, brothers, swimming in a blue sea filled with colorful tropical fish.

My inspiration was a family vacation to Maui Hawaii with our young sons & their first snorkel experience. They wore their little mask, fins & snorkels & had so much fun seeing all the curious fish, especially the little yellow & black striped Seargent Major damselfish and larger yellow & orange striped butterflyfish.

I love the ocean & loved introducing my children to the beauty of snorkeling over coral reefs filled with wildlife.

Needless to say, they had a blast!
