Let's just keep going........ back to the moon and beyond.

Having watched the moon landing with my wife over 50 years ago, I hope we live long enough to see the first humans on Mars.

Outstanding! I've been a space-junkie since the days of Sputnik and Laika. Yes, back to the moon and beyond.

I recently read Michael Collins' Autobiography, Carrying the Fire, which was a fun and informative read. I remembered, well, the events he described but learned a lot with his insider information.

Carry on, NASA and SpaceX.

That was a cool launch. I remember July 20, 1969 well - I kept going out on the porch and looking up at the moon in awe that I was watching people walk around up there. I was 19.

That was a better experience than when my mother was trying to explain why she was afraid when Russia launched Sputnik - I was seven. I still remember how scared she looked. That was back in the days of "duck and cover".

The Mars rovers were way cool too. We need more!

I was impressed by the way the rocket flames were confined to a neat straight line underneath the rocket, and not the huge spread-out plume you got with the Space Shuttle and even the Saturn V.

I think this means the rocket engines are much more efficient.

Rocket engines have moved on.

Hello John, thanks for posting, it was awesome!!!!!

Great photo Bradford, I had always wanted to see a live launch but never had the opportunity.

Hello everyone, it was awesome sight to watch. Watching this brought back so many memories seeing the very first man made object launched into space Sputnik as a young boy pass over New Orleans in the night sky with my father, and just about all other space explorations live feeds. Technology has advanced so far including the new sleek space suits and the three wide screen monitors touch screen instead of dials and switches. Hopefully I too in my remainder lifetime will get to see the first man step foot on planet Mars.

The new camera images just amazed me along with cabin design....

Have a successful mission Dragon crew and continuing scientific research aboard the ISS International Space Station!!!!!!

Getting "private enterprise", aka private companies, directly involved in space travel was said to be the key to space advancements really (excuse the pun) taking off.

With these recent goals met by Elon Musk's SpaceX this may just be the catalyst needed to start seeing some real advancements in space travel, like space tourism.

Barron Hilton (yes of the hotels) said in 1967 at the American Astronomical Society "… I firmly believe that we are going to have Hiltons in outer space, perhaps even soon enough for me to officiate at the formal opening of the first.” Sadly it didn't happen in his lifetime but that doesn't mean it won't happen.

There will be hotels orbiting earth some day and on the moon. I'm ready to book.
