Here is one of the shots I have been after for quite some time, a close up of a wood duck. I was at a pond in central Wisconsin and had this drake wood duck swim within 15 feet of me.

To my surprise, I came upon while hiking through the woods.

I seem to be producing a lot of monochrome architecture with motion blur effects at the moment, so here's another one!

I prayed to God the Creator for more red color in some of my newer images.

Did He ever answer prayer!

I spotted these profusely blooming tea tree bushes ~ single-petaled red and double pink blossoms ~ while on a walk in the neighborhood.

California is on a COVID-19 lockdown as I write this, limiting recreational travel to bike and walking. Nonetheless, I am grateful to God for this bountiful floral beauty, the likes of which I would have missed had I been in a rush.

A black-tailed bumble bee (Bombus melanopygus) performs aerial ballet, traipsing between clusters of California lilac blossoms (Ceanothus) as it pollinates hundreds of these lovely blossoms in a day.

Pollinator is a color photograph of a springtime cactus flower as a pollinating bee comes in for a landing on it.

Last week I was able to get away and take a bike ride at a beautiful nature park south of Branson Missouri. I was able to capture this beautiful spring landscape with a waterfall.

Can't remember if I posted this or not. From earlier this week. This is an altered photograph that I worked on last week. Original photo was taken in Summer 2018. The original photograph was quite nice as well, but the skies were a yellower color. I felt a deep orange was more appealing for home interiors.

Saguaro Ribs, a closeup view of the interior rib structure of cactus known as saguaro (Carnegiea gigantea) and can only be found in the Sonoran Desert and is an icon of Arizona in the Southwestern United States of America.

Protected Beauty, captures the beauty of a yellow desert cactus flower in full bloom and protected by needles in the Sonoran Desert springtime.

Shadows and Trees, a color photograph by Bill Tomsa, features the white washed trunk of a citrus tree and the tree shadows in the background falling on a block wall creating a mosaic like pattern.

While pandemic news is pervasive as is spring rain in northern Illinois, this image of tree buds with raindrop reminds us of the good things and beauty all around us, hence the title "Hopeful" .

I've been working out some isolation therapy and seeing what comes out to play in the studio, which may not be the most commercially viable process but it does feel good.

Two very different ones (I hope they show up as May for y'all - I'm quite far ahead of America in terms of time zones)

Some trees I found in Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) in the Shiga Prefecture (滋賀県) or Japan. I used two ND filters to get a super long exposure during the middle of the day, to make it as minimalist as possible, to enhance the sense of loneliness.



Two tulips found on Enoshima (江の島) in Kanagawa Prefecture (神奈川県). The wind blew them together, making it appear as if they were embracing. I was able to capture the fleeting moment.

The ice plant growing along the cliffs of California are considered "invasive" but do add a splash of color!

A trio of zebras at Wildlife Safari in Oregon.

The Creeping Buttercup (Ranunculus repens) flowers here from May through to August, adding a rich and vibrant yellow aspect to damp grasslands and roadside verges. It looks at its cheeriest in bright sunshine.

Knoxville, Tennessee at dusk. I took this shot with my tripod while standing in the middle of the road while the light was red.

The wild horses of the South Steens herd in Eastern Oregon. I loved the markings of the stallion shaking his head. There are a lot of pintos in the herd population, but the band of horses clustered around the foal in the 2nd image are solids: dun, grullo, bay, chestnut and black.

The dam and spillway at Unicorn Lake Park in Millington, Maryland. The park is also a fish hatchery. I enhanced the sun behind the trees, and added a Great Blue Heron (which I often see) at the edge of the spill. There's a fish-ladder on the far side and the park office above. This starts one of the tributaries to the Chester River.
