New And Can't Get Prices Right

I just want to sell prints of my paintings. I had no idea how to price, because I had no idea what base price would be. Now, I am trying to change the prices with the bulk image editor (I only have one image posted so far). The final price shown when I pull up the piece in "artwork" is less than my markup. I have no idea how to correct that.

Part of the problem is that I don't understand the pricing chart which shows one dimension and then xx, such as 8 x xx.

JS,

Looking at your one image and the pricing seems right! Not sure what you're asking? Go to "Recently Sold" page,

https://fineartamerica.com/art/paintings/recently+sold

scroll down and find David Lloyd Glover, who sells his smallest print for the same as your $27 and look how he structures his pricing, then look around for others and then USE THEIR METHOD!

Hope this helps....

Rich

Just for one image you don't need to use the bulk image editor. That is for many images. Just click on edit image under your picture and then change the prices to what you want. Be sure to fill in your prices in the Default settings.

Forget about the xxx's. It just means that everyone's dimensions are different. You will see your dimensions on the edit page of your image.

Remove the prices for products you don't want to sell. Leave the space blank!

Hello JS,

You need to set the prices completely blank for all those items you don't want to sell.
Nice painting btw.

When you are logged in, you will see the base price without your markup. You have to log out to see what the customer will pay.

As for the xxxs... if one side of the print is 8in, the other side will fall where it may, according to the aspect ratio of your original. So choose an amount that you want to receive if somebody orders an 8in x whatever inch print. And do the same for the other potential dimensions.

the base price is different on everything we sell. don't worry about the base, just put in the amount you want to get and the rest will be added in. too low and your competing with walmart, too high and people will leave. just put something in your comfy with.

the xx is the other side

so it could be 8x11, 8x10, 8x9 etc. the X is a variable.

be sure to add more keywords btw.

Thanks to all who answered. I could not find my page again when logged out, no matter how I searched. However, I was able to print a pdf of buyer's prices at the bottom of the page when my image was selected.

The reason I was concerned is that I also have prints for sale elsewhere and thought the prices should be about the same.

Thanks again.

Sorry to read you are having issues with the search. However, there are several reasons images are not found in search. Here are all of them for future reference. Yours may well be here

1/ The keywords do not contain the actual word being searched for (including a name which should be searched for by using the drop down to change from keyword to artist on the search box)

1.a/ ........Or the keywords are so generic (such as abstract, sea, sky, landscape, sunrise, etc etc) they are being lost in a sea of over 7 million images. Use a site like http://www.mykeyworder.com/ to get better keywords

2/ The keywords have not been on the site for over 24 hours

3/ You have less than 10 images in total and / or have been here under a week

4/ The images have a safe filter on

5/ The images are in password protected galleries

6/ They are past the end page we show for any one search, which is not all images. We stop showing after around 2000 images. If more images on the site than that it may well be at the back of the search. (This is often new images or images from people who have not yet sold)

7/ You have not had a headshot on the site for the past 24 hours

8/ You are searching for a gallery name which is only found on this page https://fineartamerica.com/gallerydirectory.html The normal search pages only find art and artists that are named on the work

-------------------------------------

Check your own profile shop to make sure they are there https://fineartamerica.com/profiles/js-ellington/shop ( https://pixels.com/profiles/js-ellington/shop ) If not and you have over 10 .....and they've been up over a week, got prices and are not in a passworded folder, please let me know.

As it says on the pricing pages, non-household items are on http://pixels.com and premium sites only

See my thread on specifics of images and how to be found both here and in Google.
https://fineartamerica.com/showmessages.php?messageid=4861127 Easy to read (hopefully) and you can get fast answers to questions on that thread.

All markups are input in USD.

You can charge $10 for an 8.0" x 6.4"... $25 for a 12.0" x 9.6"... etc. Its completely up to you.

The final prices are a collaboration of

1. What you put in your markup. That is what you will actually earn for a sale. This is the amount you enter in the spaces provided after each size. If you do not enter a price you want there they will not show up for sale
2. If your markup is $50 or under, we add $5. If your markup is over $50 we add $5 + 10%
3. Plus Our Printing costs

We have no base price list as we have well over 1000 permutations.

When you are logged in, you are seeing the base price of the art. This means, the price YOU would pay if you wanted to buy a copy for yourself.

You can see a small grey link under the price area. When you click on that you can see the breakdown.

Logged out you would just see the customers price and not your own.

The Price and Dimensions area should be totally ignored if you are not selling original sculptures, paintings etc. We do not charge or take commissions on these.

If you choose not to sell something, leave the space for markup totally blank. Not even a space.

You cannot choose between canvas OR paper prints etc. Only the products or all the prints

Search pages (such as particular product searches) take 24 hours after the prices added to be shown

Use DEFAULT SETTINGS for future images
Use BULK IMAGE EDIT for existing images or
EDIT IMAGE for singles

as said above you have to have 10 works, and be here for at least a week before your in there. and it needs to be there for 24 hours, and you just started yesterday. it takes time before your in the search. you may have to do an artist search.
