Art Print of luxury mega yacht "Arabella" at sea painted in Watercolor. The three masted schooner has all her white sails hoisted, sailing from Tortola through Sir Francis Drake channel & around the British Virgin Islands.
Arabella provides sailing vacations on the East Coast in summer & in the Caribbean in winter. Shown here in the Caribbean, the sky is blue with soft clouds reflecting clear blue ocean water. The island coastline is lush green.
This beautiful seascape scene was a commission to capture the clients fond memories of vacation travels on this boat.

With light bulb in pocket an able bodied seaman climbs a mast. He is wearing a safety harness. He shirt says Marlboro and cowboy. I guess he is a seafaring cowboy. The scarf is to protect from the intense midday tropical heat in the Gulf of Mexico. The pants, long shirt and gloves are also to protect from scrapes and injury

Shrimp Boat Nautical Art Print from an Original Watercolor Painting. Shrimp trawlers, out at sea or docked in the harbor, are a beautiful sight. They are also the work horse of the ocean when the beams & nets are lowered for fishing. This white vessel has blue trim paint. Old hardware rust color has stained the hull. The deep blue water reflects the white of the bow. A fisherman works one of the ropes on deck. Green pylons of the dock fade into the distance.
One can almost taste the salt air & hear the seagulls :)

Offshore fishing skiffs pass the channel buoy as the sun peeps from behind the cloud turning the eastern sky shades of yellow. They will soon be far offshore in search of gamefish such as tuna and marlin as well as mahi-mahi. Maybe some will bottom fish for grouper and snapper. There are always plenty of fish caught by the fisherman leaving out of Port Canaveral, Florida.

Kayak Dog Santa Barbara California Detail by Floyd Snyder
I found this "man and his dog" scene floating in the harbor in Santa Barbara, California. The dog really seemed to be enjoying himself and was really concentrating hare on something in the water.
It was a really hot day and there were other kayakers out in numbers, most of them in swimsuites. The guy seemed like he was dressed more for cold weather kayaking instead of the beautiful summer day it was with temperature in the mid to high 70's. A real Chamber of Commerce kind of day.

FWIW, my "person" was actually there in my art work of "The Sea Never Gives Up Her Dead".....but the "person" is, well, dead, so he can only be there in spirit and since we inferior humans have not evolved to see spirits of the dead, we naturally assume there is no "person" there, but there is. Fully understandable!

After hurricane Jose blew through the Outer Banks of North Carolina, September of 2017, we were excited to see the amazing and acrobatic Brown Pelicans. They were nowhere to be seen during the worst of the rain and wind that came with the storm. But when the sun returned, the vision of these amazing, prehistoric-looking birds returned as well ... to skim cleverly between the waves, looking for their next meal.
The tides and rip currents were stronger and the waves were higher and wilder than I remember seeing them in many years ... but it all made for a beautiful scene for my usually land-bound eyes to enjoy.

The dark side of the moon is where you'll find creatures of the deep floating through space, luring, like in a dreamscape where you are slowly falling in waves with the jelly fish, but you're wide awake! Are the jelly fish in space or is the moon on the ocean floor!?

The Space shuttle mock up "Inspiration" is towed on a barge across the Indian River near Merritt Island, Florida
For more than two decades, the model space shuttle "Inspiration" served as a classroom for students and campers studying space, and a backdrop for tourists' photos commemorating visits to the Space Coast.
On January 16. 2016, the full-size orbiter mock-up departed its longtime post outside the former Space Camp Florida and U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame building on State Road 405 in Titusville to embark on a new education mission likely bound for the Midwest.

Nautilus is the common name of marine creatures of cephalopod family Nautilidae, the sole extant family of the superfamily Nautilaceae and of its smaller but near equal suborder, Nautilina. It comprises six living species in two genera, the type of which is the genus Nautilus. Though it more specifically refers to species Nautilus pompilius, the name chambered nautilus is also used for any species of the Nautilidae.

Phyllorhiza punctata is a species of jellyfish, also known as the floating bell, Australian spotted jellyfish, brown jellyfish or the white-spotted jellyfish. It is native to the western Pacific from Australia to Japan, but has been introduced widely elsewhere. It feeds primarily on zooplankton. P. punctata generally can reach up to 50 centimetres (20 in) in bell diameter, but in October 2007, one 72 cm (28 in) wide, perhaps the largest ever recorded, was found on Sunset Beach, North Carolina. -wikipedia

Seagull By The Seashore ... It's a glorious summer afternoon. A yellow-eyed ring-billed seagull strolls through the gently rolling surf of the Atlantic Ocean of North Carolina's magnificent Outer Banks. His reflection in the wet sand will only last a moment ... soon to be wiped away as the waves recede back into the depths of the sea.
He seems to be enjoying the beautiful day every bit as much as his human counterparts.

Cormorant fisherman in China
Chinese Cormorant Fisherman Art Print from an Original Watercolor Painting. Trained cormorant birds fish from fishing rafts or boats. A collar is tied near the base of the bird's throat. The bird is able to swallow small fish but larger fish don't slip past the collar. When a big fish is caught, the bird returns to the boat to spit out the fish for the fisherman.
My eldest son captured this photo in Shanghai-Suzhou during his travels in Asia. The city's water canals with gondolas, stone bridges, pagodas & gardens have contributed to its status as one of the top tourist attractions in China.

Sailing yacht on the BVI. My rendition of a private sailboat vacation with a group of friends. Last I heard, the boat was destroyed by hurricane Irma in 2017
Sailboat Nautical Art Print from an Original Watercolor Painting. A white sloop sailing the blue sea with islands on the horizon. It is a lovely sound & feeling when a sail first catches the wind & breezes flow bow to stern. Water laps against the hull as mast & rigging sway.
This sky is blue with white clouds & a lone seagull.
Passengers on board gather under the shade canopy.
The Original Painting hangs in my studio. Inspired from a vacation in the British Virgin Islands. The private yacht is a monohull Dufour Gib'Sea 51 named Recess.
