As an LSU Honors Division undergrad, Zotshee studied classical art and 19th-century Impressionism.   He was gobsmacked by the brushstrokes of Monet, Renoir, and Cezanne.   After receiving his B.A. degree, he began a series of oil paintings and sold a Groucho Marx silhouette at a Baton Rouge gallery.With his artistic eye continuing to evolve, Zotshee soon became fascinated by the works of Pollock, Kooning, Warhol, Motherwell, Francis, Ossorio . . . and Basquiat (a bit later).It was a gut-wrenching enlightening of the soul.But sadly, upon returning from a four-month stay in Europe, which had included seven days in...more
