Xueling Zou, is an award-winning, Chinese American self-taught artist living in California, from an artist family in Beijing. Passion for art, painting by heart from studio to outdoors, she creates visual stories in oil and watercolor using composition, color, and form inspired by different cultures, literature and nature. Her works have been exhibited nationally and collected internationally.
Drawing on influences of great masters from history to the present, with simplicity of brushstrokes or palette knife, her contemporary impressionist portraits, figurative paintings, Plein Air landscapes of California, express the humanity and life experience in special moments - the stories of our lives.
