Being behind the camera since early childhood in Burma has helped me see the world in a different way.
My history of taking photographs happened in 1990 for Dawn Bulletins, UNHCR Information Department (1993-95) and as a freelancer in Bangkok. I moved to Australia in 1994 - settling in Melbourne.
I studied a B.A with distinction in Media and Communication at Victoria University of Technology 1996-98.
Having worked as a press photographer for Editorial / News more than 10 years, with a focus on street/documentary style photography has given me much experience and so now I have decided to explore the world of fine art photography.
I use Nikon and Leica M systems to catch the moments of our daily lives.
I draw inspiration from Julia Margaret Cameron, Eve Arnold, Henri Cartier-Bresson among all Magnum Photographers.
