William J.Tasker grew up in New Jersey but moved to New Hampshire at the age of eighteen. After fifteen years in New Hampshire, Tasker moved to the far reaches of northern Maine where the population is slight and natural beauty abounds. Unfortunately, so did winter...all six months of it. Now relocated to southern Florida, Tasker specializes in the lovely fauna and flora he finds around him under the banner of Natural Florida Photography. 'Striving to make beautiful and thought-provoking images is what gives each day a new feeling of adventure!'
Tasker has had a varied work life including many years in a tannery, some years in a hotel before getting lucky on the ground floor of a software company that took up fifteen years of his time and energies. He has since been a book publisher and a Chamber of Commerce director.
Tasker has written seven books of local history, a book of short stories and four books for children. He has published his poetry and short stories in magazines. He is available for freelance editing of books, websites and other media and for book layout and cover design.
Tasker has two grown children, two grown step-children and lives happily with his wife, a nurse, teacher and artist.
