Born in Siegen, Germany, in 1959, Uta Philipp is living in the mountains now and for ever.
While studying in Munich, she started climbing and skiing the high and beautiful mountains of the Alps.
One evening, standing on Hochkoenig, she desperately wanted to catch the spirit and the brightness of the summit range panorama the 360 degrees around with its gigantic and awesome peaks in their special light, at the end of a long climbing day.
From that moment on she never walked, climbed or went ski-mountaineering without her (really heavy!) Nikon D90 and different object lenses in the backpack.
The results, some of them presented on this page, are the outcome of thousands of hours spent in the mountains and at the Imac for adapting, editing and processing the pictures to unique panorama compositions.
Originally bringing her impressions home on canvas with aquarell-colors, she now shows impressive panorama foto sights from summits in the Salzburg Alps. Normally only mountaineers can enjoy the views from these remote and solitary places, and now you can, too.
As an Outdoor photographer she has won different competitions and prizes in Austria.
Her speciality: Extended wallsize panoramas of various alpine landscapes.
