He photographs with all his senses. Sometimes, his stories have little to do with the actual image, but they remind him of a time in his past, many years ago, that he shares and can associate with. It's like, for example, when you see an environment with a particular smell or a Deja Vue that sparks a memory thought. Sometimes, the subject excites him to capture what it is, but he's moved to create interest from his experiences and then tell that story.
For the last 25 + years, he has traveled throughout the USA, Canada, UK, France and Thailand. Thanks to friendships and the help of professional photographers who became wonderful mentors. He has passed on what he has learned from them and himself to a younger generation by being an adjunct professor of Photography and Digital Skills at O'More College of Design in Franklin, Tennessee, along with others he has met. Timothy has learned the rule that often, the teacher becomes the student and that his art stays fresh and improves with time.
