Terry lives simply & gratefully in the foothills of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains. Using only his iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 8S, or iPad, he literally captures hundreds of photographs of the mountains/streams/streets/scenes near his home. He gathers the photos as 'notes' from his hikes and daily activities in and around the region. His goal is to evoke a 'feeling' of some kind from the images generated. The post processing is this hobby's Joy and a way for him to celebrate the beauty around him. He likes to explore what the camera actually recorded which is sometimes hidden in shadow or flare. It is in the post processing that some of the photographs take on a more 'painterly' and sometimes mysterious character. He generally makes a black and white 'interpretation' of each photo as a measure of the image's tone. Although, he has taken many photographs over the years, it is only recently that he has elected to share them in such a public format. He spends his days performing licensed massage and bodywork therapy in Wilkesboro, NC.
