Creating an art filled life is something I strive to do everyday. I have always dabbled in art as far back as I can remember but it was not until I was living in Europe that I began to take it seriously. Perhaps, it was being surrounded by so much beauty and history that renewed my interest. I started with photography (a medium I still enjoy) and moved on to sketching, pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic, oil, pastels and mixed media. I was asked to show my work in a small art gallery ( on Piata Sfatului in Brasov, Romania) and gained confidence as sells grew. Upon returning to the States I was a part of Tahoe Art League and established Art Fairs in Gardnerville, Nevada. After moving to Texas I joined Woodlands Art League and participated in gallery showings and many art shows. I have been the (very grateful) recipient of many art awards and have my sold my work both stateside and abroad. I currently live in Livingston, Texas and regularly plein air paint, teach art classes and plein air workshops, sell my work locally and on-line. I get joy from encouraging others to do more than they thought they could and love their smiles when they are pleasantly surprised at the work they just created.
