Tahnya Spirit was born in Winston-Salem, NC and has also lived in Massachusetts, Maryland and Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, but art and photography are her passion.

She is a visual artist, photographer, published author, gallery owner and currently serving as Creative Director for the National Botanical Portrait Museum.

Tahnya’s work can be found in private collections nationwide. A vast collection of her photography can be viewed at the National Botanical Portrait Museum.
