SUSAN HELEN STROK holds a BA in Studio Fine Art, plus has studied Stone Lithography, Painting, and Drawing with Master Artists. She has worked as an illustrator, taught colored pencil workshops, and offers her work through shows, exhibits, and her website. Her artwork hangs in numerous collections across the US and is shown at the Muse Gallery in Longmont, CO.
Her memberships include The International Guild of Realism, Portrait Society of America, The Colored Pencil Society of America, Arts Longmont, and Prospect Artists Association.
Susan is a Contemporary Figurative Artist whose work is classically rendered in pencil, pastel and paint, as well as mixed media. She employs a realistic style to create conceptual work that delves into the universal female yearning for connection, freedom and transformation. Susan explores women's inner terrains while celebrating their exterior form. Her inspirations come from her love of myth and magic and their abiding presence in everyday life. She has always believed that the more private the emotional inner journey, the more universal the message.
