I started really getting into photography when my son asked for a camera for Christmas. It was around 2004 and he wanted a Nikon D50. After getting the camera and seeing where digital photography was, I had to have one. Back in the late 70's and 80's I had a Cannon SLR that I used for years. I loved photography but the costs of development and the pain of waiting to see what I had shot was just not much fun. In 2006 I bought my own camera a D80 and started taking every class I could find on how to really use the camera and post processing software. Around 2009 my wife (Barbara) decided to jump into the fun world of photography. We both love to take our cameras everywhere we go and love to see how far we can push the functions. We have both moved up from the D80. She is shooting with the Nikon D200 and I am using a D200 and a D800.
Having moved to Texas in 2013 has added to the enjoyment. There is so much new territory to see and visit that it keeps us busy most every weekend. We love shooting the Texas landscape and the people and events of Texas.
