Award-winning photographer Steven Paul Hlavac grew up on Long Island, New York. He studied photography and graphic arts at the University of Buffalo and at Florida State University in Tallahassee, receiving his BA degree in Art from FSU. Steven opened his first photo studio in 1986 at what is now Art Center South Florida in the Lincoln Road Arts District of South Beach (Miami).
