Working in a virtual environment I create free form abstractions. Artistic influences are many, Andre Masson, Rene Magritte Jackson Pollock, Peter Max, Kenneth Huff, and most predominately fellow artist and friend Michael Braun. I like vibrant, serene, ethereal themes and images, something I can walk around in ............ go exploring.

This collection of Art Painted Virtually is an assortment of color and form abstractions, sometimes referred to as 'Jazz painting'.
Around 1995 and on the heels of obtaining a mid life Art Degree in interactive media I started experimenting with virtual painting, approaching it as if engaged in an organic medium using virtual pen & pencil, finger painting, brush work, and palette knife. Starting with a blank screen and no preconceived direction, I begin mixing shapes, layers, and colors while attempting to stay as organic as possible. The images may convey recognizable forms, but for the most part they are born of the unintentional subconscious. The images as I see them (usually after the fact) are meant to be simply emotive and non-figurative. I often treat the paintings as a fantastical and fluid landscape where I am free to wander about. The nomenclature is nonsensical so as not to imply visual suggestions or lead the viewer in a particular direction.
Friend, Artist, and Mentor Michael Braun has been instrumental in my development, his tutelage is greatly appreciated.

* Using a large format printer many of these images have been brought into the non-virtual actual
world where they adorn the walls of homes as well as commercial establishments
