I appreciate art that is reflective of our lives but also somewhat unusual.   Most of my paintings represent things we would not normally see, like a psycho lady pirate at a ship's porthole, a witch on a broomstick joyride with her son or a magical pot of gold suspended on a waterfall.   My photographs capture unique moments like running a hand through turbulent water while sitting on a running boat, unusually long shadows at a mall and a fat bunny camouflaged by shadows of tree branches.   My parents gave me a nickname: Nova after the astronomical event that causes the sudden appearance of a...more
