Shanti Marie is a watercolor artist of national renown. Her work is for sale and may be viewed at many web sites and blogs on the internet. Her style is unique, one that is a blend of loose impressionistic brush work and lively rich color. She has developed a following of collectors who gravitate towards her floral and her Koi paintings. After twenty years of painting in the medium and mastering its strengths and weaknesses, she feels her best work is yet to come and has encouraged growth and change in her work to produce wonderfully spontaneous paintings that are fresh, alive and full of expression. She draws on nature to provide that spark and many of her paintings are of landscapes near her home in South Carolina. Lake Wylie is frequently the subject of her work in all seasons. She has loved watercolor since the first time she was allowed to paint with tempera and water as a five year old.
