Samanvitha Rao was born in Mysore, India. After completing her basic education in Engineering in India, she went to the United States of America to pursue a Masters degree in Computer Science at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. She then joined Cisco Systems in the California Bay Area and spent 12 years working as a Software Engineer and Technical Marketing Professional. In 2010 she took a 1 year sabbatical to travel extensively around the world - to hike in the high mountains of Nepal, to sleep under the stars in the deserts of Egypt, to be surrounded by the wildlife of Africa, and...more
