Born in Switzerland and raised in New England, my love of photography began at an early age. By the time I was 14, I built a small darkroom in my basement and learned how to develop and print black and white photographs. It was magical to watch the images appear under the dim glow of the orange safe light. I became the photo editor of my high school's newspaper, art magazine and year book.
